Charlie Baur (BOW-ur) was the breakout star of the 2023 Must See Racing Midwest Lights crate sprint car season, nearly winning his maiden sprint car feature at Michigan’s Birch Run Speedway and Event Center during Memorial Day weekend in May and finishing a career-high fifth in the series standings. He led laps twice during the six-race campaign – a first in his young career – and built confidence in his family-owned sprint car team. Baur is a graduate of quarter midgets and dirt go-karts, calling Fenton, Mich., home.
