,STATESVILLE, N.C. – Grant Enfinger officially solidified his new home in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series on Tuesday morning.

Enfinger has joined CR7 Motorsports to drive the team’s No. 9 Chevrolet Silverado in a multi-year agreement that begins next year. He comes to CR7 from GMS Racing, which ceased operations following this season as owner Maury Galagher turned his focus to Legacy Motor Club in the NASCAR Cup Series.

The team will have support from Chevrolet and a technical alliance with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, which is fielding full-time entries for Daniel Dye, Christian Eckes and Tyler Ankrum.

Grant County Mulch and Enfinger’s longtime backer Champion Power Equipment will serve as primary partners on the No. 9 Chevrolet.

A native of Mobile, Ala., Enfinger earned three wins, nine top-fives and 13 top-10s last season in the Truck Series, finishing runner-up in the point standings to series champion Ben Rhodes. He’ll be embarking on his eighth full-time season in the Truck Series next year.

Enfinger takes the reins of the CR7 entry from Colby Howard, who drove for the team this year and ranked 21st in points, with a season-best fourth-place finish in the opener at Daytona Int'l Speedway in February.

Tuesday’s announcement marks a reunion between CR7 Motorsports and Enfinger, who previously drove for the team in both the Truck Series and the ARCA Menards Series.

“I am extremely excited about this opportunity,” said Enfinger. “I have known Codie and his family for a long time, and they have become like family to me.”

“When the opportunity came along, I knew that Grant was the perfect choice,” added team owner Codie Rohrbaugh. “With our efforts to elevate our racing program in 2024, I am confident in what Grant will bring to the team.”

Alongside Chevrolet support and the team’s new alliance with MHR, CR7 Motorsports has also moved into to a new facility and added championship-winning crew chief Michael Shelton as the team’s general manager.

Shelton won the 2012 Truck Series championship with driver James Buescher and boasts seven wins, six poles, and 79 top-10 finishes as a crew chief in the Truck Series.

Jeff Stankiewicz, who earned the 2015 ARCA Menards Series championship with Enfinger, will return as Enfinger’s crew chief atop the pit box for the No. 9 Chevrolet team.

Stankiewicz also has the 2018 ARCA Menards Series title and the 2020 Truck Series crown, both with driver Sheldon Creed, on his resume as well.

Champion Power Equipment will serve as an anchor partner of the No. 9 Chevrolet Silverado next season.

“We are bringing along Champion Power Equipment, they have been instrumental in my career for more than nine years. They have been a huge part of my success in the Truck Series,” noted Enfinger. “It is incredibly special to be able to continue that relationship.”

With Enfinger coming as close as he did to securing last season’s Truck Series title, the longtime veteran is confident that he’ll be able to continue performing at a high level as he chases his first NASCAR championship.

“I feel like we have all the right pieces in place [to perform]. With Chevrolet’s help and support, we were able to put this [deal] together and have the resources it takes to truly win races and contend for championships. I am expecting growing pains, but I also foresee performance from the beginning,” said Enfinger. “I can't say thank you enough to everyone that made this happen, especially Codie and the entire Grant County Mulch family and everyone at Champion Power Equipment.

“I am extremely excited about this next chapter in my career and couldn’t be happier about my decision for the upcoming season.”

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season kicks off Feb. 16 at Daytona Int'l Speedway with the Fresh From Florida 250, live on FS1, the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
