Kaulig Adds Dye For Part-Time Xfinity Schedule

LEXINGTON, N.C. – Announced Tuesday, Daniel Dye will run 10 NASCAR Xfinity Series races for Kaulig Racing this season in the No. 10 Chevrolet.

Dye’s first race with Kaulig Racing will be the season-opening United Rentals 300 at Daytona (Fla.) Int’l Speedway on Feb. 17. He’ll be one of four Kaulig Racing entries competing at the World Center of Racing.

The 20-year-old from DeLand, Fla., will be joined by teammates A.J. Allmendinger, Shane van Gisbergen, and Josh Williams in the Xfinity Series’ kickoff race.

“We’re excited to welcome Daniel [Dye] to our driver lineup at Kaulig Racing,” said team president Chris Rice. “We’ve brought a lot of young drivers into the Xfinity Series, and we’re looking forward to seeing him grow as a driver throughout the season with our team.”

Dye’s remaining Xfinity Series starts with Kaulig Racing will be April 6 at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway; April 27 at Dover (Del.) Motor Speedway; June 15 at Iowa Speedway; July 13 at Pennsylvania’s Pocono Raceway; July 20 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway; Aug. 17 at Michigan Int’l Speedway; Sept. 28 at Kansas Speedway; Oct. 19 at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway; and Nov. 9 at Arizona’s Phoenix Raceway.

Family-owned Champion Container Corporation, which specializes in industrial packaging and container solutions, will be the primary backer for Dye’s No. 10 Chevrolet.

Champion Container Corporation offers a wide range of products, including steel, plastic, and fiber containers, along with other services, including container reconditioning and recycling which supports sustainable practices inside the industry.

“Daniel is a driver that is easy to root for on and off the racetrack. He is an incredible ambassador of Champion Container, and we are proud to be represented by him in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Kaulig Racing,” said Champion Container CEO Tom Miskewitz. “Additionally, the Daniel Dye Racing organization’s work with Race to Stop Suicide is immensely important and reaches a massive audience through its efforts.

Also featured on Dye’s Kaulig Racing cars will be Race to Stop Suicide, founded by Randy and Daniel Dye. The organization focuses on delivering essential resources to those seeking help, spreading the message that no one is alone in the fight, and encouraging open conversations about mental health.

Dye competed full time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series last year with the now-defunct GMS Racing team, finishing 18th in driver points with one top-10 finish. His career-best Truck Series mark of sixth came last September at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.

He also made two Xfinity Series starts last fall with Alpha Prime Racing, advancing from 26th to 17th in his debut at Texas Motor Speedway on Sept. 23.

“I've been a fan and follower of Kaulig Racing for several years now, and to have the opportunity to race for Matt Kaulig and Chris Rice is really special,” noted Dye. “I’m excited to drive the No. 10 Champion Container Chevy in the Xfinity Series and to lean on my teammates, who have experience in all aspects of racing.
